At the heart of our hotels are the people who through their vibrancy and energy bring our properties to life. We are now seeking a dynamic individual that will capture the very essence of the Standard London to join our team as a Sweeties Bar Back.
Your role as Sweeties Bar Back will be part of a specialist drinks service from early evening sunset cocktails through to late-night lounge and party vibes. You are passionate about service, have a good understanding of bar operations, and the eagerness to support your team to create an environment that will delight our guests.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation and staging on the bar counter, fridges, back bar and speed rails for service.
- Ensuring the bar has sufficient quantities of all its equipment such as glasses, drinks and crockery.
- Supporting bartenders during service and ensuring the workspace stays tidy and organised.
- Keeping the bar stocked according to standards.

While prior experience as a Bar Back is essential, all are welcome at The Standard. You must have an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests.
In addition to this you will also need:
- Prior experience as a Bar Back with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds.
- To be highly social, motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
- Availability Wednesday – Saturday evenings, including late night (3am).
