We are now looking for a Night Room Service Waiter for our In Room Dining team who will embody our ‘Anything but Standard’ ethos.
Your role
Working under the pressure is not also a problem for you as you are more than capable of making sure all requests and orders get handled within a timely manner and can confidently carry out the standards of our guest experience.
Do you have what it takes to be a Night Room Service Waiter at The Standard

- 2 years prior experience as a Room Service Waiter with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination fine dining restaurant or perhaps even a well know quality chain
- Strong knowledge and expertise in guest experience
- Confident in restaurant operations and the order of service
- Professional, positive, and polite in all interactions with guests
- Highly social, motivated and pro-active; excellent with guests and building strong relationships with all departments
- Efficient at handling guest requests or complaints, and escalating when necessary
- Detail orientated and highly skilled at maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the in-room dining area/kitchen
- Effective at collaborating with kitchen, events, sales, and front office teams to carry out special requests and VIP services
- Strong knowledge in food safety and hygiene, as well as hotel standards, safety and security procedures
- Proactive attitude; clearing trays from guest rooms and hallways in a timely manner; refill and restock minibars as required; organise, clean, and prep in-room dining area for the next service
- Confident working independently and collaborating in a team
- A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work shifts, including weekends
- Prior experience using POS is advantageous however full training will be given
