As our Entertainment Sales Manager, you’ll champion our most electric, high-profile segment Entertainment. From the red carpet to remote getaways, you’ll connect The Standard with the world’s most influential creatives and discerning travellers. This is not your standard sales role. We're looking for a commercially sharp, culturally plugged-in connector with a bold approach to business and a passion for creative industries. You’ll act as our ambassador across music, film, fashion, and theatre—while driving international leisure sales from top-tier travel advisors, luxury consortia, and trendsetting tour operators. You’ll represent The Standard globally—on the ground at trade shows, at the heart of London’s entertainment scene, and in-market across the UK, Europe, and the US.

What you’ll do?

  • Business Development
    • Help shape and execute the hotel’s sales strategy across the Entertainment segment.
    • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
    • Proactively prospect and convert new business across: Entertainment: film studios, music & record labels, talent agencies, fashion & PR houses, production companies.
    • Actively source, qualify, and convert leads through a proactive sales pipeline.
    • Attend global roadshows, international trade fairs, and sales missions representing both The Standard, London and the wider brand.
    • Build and maintain a strong network of entertainment industry contacts through face-to-face meetings, events, roadshows, and site inspections.
    • Keep a pulse on cultural trends and travel behaviours, research trends and travel patterns to identify new feeder markets for travel to develop tailored business development strategies.
    • Work with our culture team to support programming and events tailored to the entertainment market.
  • Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
    • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Revenue team to develop rate strategies, packages, and seasonal promotions.
    • Manage all aspects of contracting for entertainment accounts including RFPs, submissions, and rate loading.
    • Collaborate on forecasting and budgeting and contributing pipeline insight and trend analysis for any entertainment groups.
    • Drive business across transient + group in entertainment segment, VIP guests, long-stay production teams and events.
    • Ensure maximum conversion by creating bespoke proposals and leveraging upselling opportunities.
    • Monitor competitor activity and adjust sales plans to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Launch seasonal and targeted campaigns during shoulder or low-demand periods to stimulate business.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems Envision and Opera PMS.
    • Generate weekly and monthly reports tracking entertainment segment performance, client engagement, pipeline and market trends.
    • Share segment insights and activity updates with the broader commercial team and participate in regular revenue meetings.
    • Support budgeting and business review presentations with relevant segment data and analysis.
    • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of RFPs for corporate entertainment and group contracts.
  • Client Engagement & Account Management
    • Personally manage a portfolio of high-profile entertainment accounts, acting as the main point of contact for all bookings and communications.
    • Build relationships with new and existing clients via site inspections, FAM trips, hosted dinners, and industry networking events & industry exhibitions.
    • Coordinate with Guest Services, Reservations, Events, Marketing/Culture, and F&B teams to fulfil unique entertainment guest needs.
    • Act as the primary contact for any entertainment groups and events to ensure seamless guest experience and delivery of Service.
    • Develop and manage key accounts, increasing their production through strong relationship building and targeted account management strategies.
    • Represent the hotel at international trade shows and represent the hotel in luxury travel and entertainment industry forums to maintain visibility among key partners and travel professionals.
    • Support sales blitzes, activations, and promotions that raise awareness and generate business in both segments.
  • Team Collaboration & Representing the Brand
    • Act as a role model and internal advocate for the Entertainment segment, by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that embodies our ‘Anything but Standard’ ethos.
    • Share industry insights, client feedback, and opportunities in daily briefings, team meetings, and cross-functional sessions.
    • Collaborate with Events, Reservations, Marketing/Culture, and Guest Services to ensure alignment and brand delivery across all touchpoints.
    • Drive innovation and creativity in the team’s approach to business development and client engagement.
    • Represent The Standard’s bold, culturally driven identity in all communications and engagements—internally and externally.
    • Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration among the team, ensuring that Entertainment sales activities are communicated throughout the property from daily briefings to regular team, department, and management meetings to encourage inter-department support, creative thinking and ensure account production and service standards are maintained throughout the hotel.

What you''ll have?

  • A proven track record in Entertainment Sales experience ideally gained in a similar Entertainment Sales Manager role in the Luxury, ‘Lifestyle’ or boutique hotel sector.
  • Have prior experience of developing account leads, contracting accounts, RFP proposals and account management to increase production.
  • Prior experience of working with the Entertainment industries [Music, Film, Television, Theatre and the Arts].
  • Highly motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
  • Sound decision making; the calm in the storm.
  • Expert abilities in Opera, Envision, Hotelligence and Microsoft Office.
