We are currently seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team in the Walsall area. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating a variety of metal components to high-quality standards, working from technical drawings and production specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG and/or TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans
  • Fabricating metal structures and assemblies to specification
  • Operating workshop machinery and hand tools safely
  • Carrying out quality inspections on completed work
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Working independently and as part of a production team
  • Meeting production deadlines and quality targets

Requirements

  • Previous experience in welding and fabrication
  • Ability to read technical and engineering drawings
  • Experience with MIG welding essential (TIG experience advantageous)
  • Good attention to detail and workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
  • Relevant welding qualifications preferred but not essential
