We are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client based in the Farnham, GU9 area. Our client who specialises in Waste Management is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment. Successful candidates may be assigned to various sites within the area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed.
- A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential.
- Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry.
- Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week.
- Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins.
- Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins.
- Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely.
Requirements
- UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months).
- Digital tachograph card & CPC card.
- Good team working skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage.
