Opportunities available for experienced loading and unloading staff for our North Essex client. £13.50 per hour.

You will need to be physically fit, as the role will involve lifting heavy items and a lot of walking. You must also be prepared to work in adverse weather.

Duties include:

  • Unloading large containers
  • Repacking containers ready for distribution
  • Pallet wrapping
  • Checking documents
  • Sweeping the yard
  • Various other duties

You will be working within a large team and must be able to work to instruction. You must be available at short notice due to ships' timings and be willing to work a full 12-hour shift if required. You should also be willing to start work at any time, day or night, again due to ships' timings. You must be available to work weekends and nights if required.

You will need steel toe boots and a high visibility vest; all other PPE will be provided. It is a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload, so you must be willing to work hard with the team.
