The Staffing Network are a national labour provider and we are recruiting yard operatives for our client based in Bridgewater.
The Role
Within this role, you will be working as a part of the Yard Operations Team, assisting with the daily operations of a busy site through driving and parking various types of vehicles around the yard. You will be reporting to the Yard Team Leader and Supervisor. The yard and halls activities will be predominantly undertaken outdoors, which means that you will spend a significant proportion of your time exposed to all weather conditions throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Store and park all vehicles on site within the fleet yard, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the site in accordance with the daily program.
- Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys.
- Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicles.
- Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed (training provided).
- Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
- Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met within the agreed deadlines.
Skills and expertise
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential) - you need to be comfortable to drive manual vehicles.
