We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a busy engineering and manufacturing team in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and potentially programming CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Loading programs and making adjustments where required
  • Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections
  • Ensuring components are produced to tight tolerances
  • Maintaining machines and reporting any faults or issues
  • Working to production schedules and deadlines
  • Following all health & safety procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator)
  • Ability to read technical drawings confidently
  • Understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards
  • Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Mazatrol controls (preferred)
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Desirable Skills
  • CNC programming experience
  • Multi-axis machining experience
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering
  • Experience working with metals such as steel, aluminium, or stainless steel
