The Staffing Network is a labour provider across the UK. We are recruiting for a Production Operative in Agriculture Feeds Manufacturing / Mill Operator to join our client's team based in Stretton, Oakham.
Job Details:
- Location: Stretton, Oakham (Own transport essential)
- Pay rate: £13.00 per hour / Overtime after 40 hours at £19.37 per hour / Saturdays paid at £22.80 per hour
- Shift: Day shift, 5/6 days a week
- Hours: 6:00am to 5:00pm
As a Mill Operative, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the mill production plant, equipment, and processes from raw material intake to out loading. The job is in an industrial plant where animal feed is produced. The work environment may be noisy and dusty.
What the role involves:
- Operate the filling machines to dispense animal feed into bags, containers or bulk storage ensuring accurate measurements are met.
- Operate and monitor mixing machines in animal feed processing plants ensuring the correct ingredients are added to create high-quality animal feed.
- Perform any other tasks as may be delegated from time to time by the Mill Manager.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Restocking of mineral bins.
- Maintain feed production machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental regulations.
What are we looking for in a candidate:
- Prior experience in food/agricultural/production environments (Essential).
- Experience working with automated feed machinery (Preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- Ability to lift and carry 15-20kg bags.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach towards tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Counterbalance licence (Preferred).
