The Staffing Network are a national labour provider and we are recruiting 2 experienced Operational Controllers for a busy transport office within one of the UK Leaders in Global Logistics, transport and shipping. This role is an ongoing temporary position.

Responsibilities:

  • De-brief van drivers, check their scanners and challenge them on any collections or outstanding deliveries ensuring they are clear and their job has been completed before they go home.
  • Manually enter deliveries in the system.
  • Deal with customers at the collection point, handling their parcels for both drop off and pick up.
  • Deal with any damaged parcels, repack and repair if able.
  • Relabel and investigate parcels when drivers have advised they are check of address or incorrect postcodes.
  • Deal with customers and customer service over the phone dealing with any potential misdelivered parcels or late collections.
  • Tipping parcels that customers have dropped off onto the belt into the warehouse.
  • Complete tasks that have been set out.
  • Complete end of shift reports.
  • Receive training on dealing with HGV drivers how to do call outs and also de-brief and brief lorry drivers on their routes.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 4 pm to 10 pm. Occasional Saturdays.

Requirements: Must have traffic office and warehouse experience. Position type: Temporary position.
