Due to expansion, our client is now recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers. Exciting positions have become available for Class 1 Drivers to join our valued client. Successful candidates will earn £16 per hour on days and £17 per hour on nights. The role requires driving long distances, delivering to 23 destinations per day.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months' experience.
  • Valid Tachograph and CPC licence.
  • No more than 6 penalty points.
  • No DR, DD, IN, CD, or TT endorsements on licence.
  • Driving assessment will be required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 1 lorries to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Load and unload cargo (if necessary), ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
