The Staffing Network is a National labour provider across the UK. The Staffing Network are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for our client based in Wisbeach, Cambridgeshire.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires experience in commercial driving, particularly with fridge trailers. You will be responsible for delivering frozen goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation. Tramping, weekends always available.

Shifts: Tramping Friday - Monday (50 hours per week) Hours: 03:00 starts

Pay rate: Monday to Friday £15.00, Saturday & Sundays £16.50, Night out £26.00

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to deliver frozen goods.
  • Ensure timely deliveries to multiple locations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
  • Adhere to all driving regulations and safety protocols.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driver License, C1 Licence, Driver CPC, DQC, no more than 6 points on license.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with fridge/curtainsided lorries.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
