Due to expansion, our client is now recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers. Exciting positions have become available for Class 1 Drivers to join our valued client. Successful candidates will earn £16 per hour on days and £17 per hour on nights.
The role requires:
- Driving long distances, delivering to 23 destinations per day.
- Driving assessment will be required.
- Operating Class 1 lorries to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Loading and unloading cargo (if necessary), ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
