We are currently recruiting for an experienced Power Press Operative to join our busy manufacturing team in the West Midlands area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating power press machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality components in line with production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating mechanical and hydraulic power press machines
- Setting up and running press machinery in accordance with production requirements
- Loading and unloading materials and components
- Conducting quality checks on finished products
- Ensuring all work is completed to company and customer specifications
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Reporting faults, defects, or maintenance issues promptly
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Requirements
- Previous experience operating power press machinery
- Understanding of health & safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work from job sheets and production instructions
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- ROSPA or accredited Power Press certification
- Experience within metal pressing or manufacturing environments
- Basic machine setting experience
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
