We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste collection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a refuse collection lorry and collecting waste from residential and commercial properties with the assistance of loaders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Collect refuse from different local areas each day of the week.
- Work alongside loaders to collect and empty bins from residential and commercial premises.
- Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins when required.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, and surroundings to ensure safe vehicle operation.
- Provide a professional waste management service to residents and businesses.
Requirements
- Minimum 90 days HGV Class 2 driving experience within the last 6 months.
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (minimum 6 months).
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph (Tacho) card.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Previous experience within the waste or recycling industry would be advantageous.
