To work closely with the Practice Manager, to provide a timely and responsive service for the implementation and maintenance of all business, administrative, clinical and patient services.
Main duties of the job:
- To be responsible for the production of performance and quality standards within the practice.
- To manage data quality issues, providing advice and guidance to all practice staff in the use of the clinical system.
- To act as practice administrator for the clinical system and as practice co-ordinator for IT hardware issues, working closely with the CCG and Shared Services as responsibility for computer hardware is transferred.
- The role also involves working in the back office, carrying out a range of clinical administration tasks to support the wider practice team and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.
Previous reception, administration and/or customer service experience is desirable, along with strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and good organisation skills.

- Qualifications: GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths; Qualified to NVQ level 2.
- Experience: Previous management or supervisory experience; Experience of staff appraisals, handling grievance and disciplinary issues; IT literate, including experience in using Word and Excel at intermediate level; Experience in using EMIS clinical software; Experience of working with the general public; Experience of working in a Healthcare Setting.
