Role Description The Contract Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth, responsible for overseeing the delivery and performance of facilities management contracts across SSH Group’s client portfolio. This position manages contract lifecycle activities, including negotiation, implementation, performance monitoring, and renewal, ensuring contractual obligations, service levels, and compliance requirements are met. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and cost control, and preparing regular reports on contract performance, risks, and opportunities. The Contract Manager will handle stakeholder communication, address operational issues, lead service improvement initiatives, and support business development by identifying opportunities within existing contracts. The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to relevant regulations and company policies, and contributing to continuous improvement in contract and service delivery processes.
Qualifications

  • Strong contract management skills, including experience with contract drafting, negotiation, administration, and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control related to facilities management or service delivery contracts.
  • Effective stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Experience in facilities management, building services, or cleaning services, with understanding of compliance, health and safety, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, identify risks, and implement practical solutions and service improvement plans.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with contract management systems, MS Office tools (especially Excel and Word), and general business software.
  • Relevant professional qualification or degree in business, law, facilities management, or a related field; industry certifications in contract or facilities management are an advantage.
