Job Summary
To undertake a combination of cooking, front counter and bar shifts at The Spring as part of the Café Bar team, working in line with documented policies and procedures with the aim of providing an excellent experience to all our customers and visitors.
Our Café Bar is an important part of our work, offering our visitors an excellent service and raising funds that help our charity continue its work. The Café Bar is run by Havant Arts Active, the charity\’s trading subsidiary which is overseen by The Spring.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all food preparation is completed ahead of the start of daytime services
- During service prepare all food available on the menu according to agreed recipes and to the best possible standard, also following portion control guidelines.
- Ensure the front counter and bar is kept to a high standard of presentation and cleanliness throughout service.
- Serve all customers promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Clean down the café / bar / kitchen to the expected standard.
- Restock items and undertaking stock rotation.
- Communicate to the Café Supervisor any items which are low in stock.
- Ensure cash up is completed and the café / bar is properly closed down at the end of the shift.
- Be aware of and able to talk about the current and upcoming performances and events.
Essential Attributes
- Over the age of 18
- Experience of working within a customer facing role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required
- Competency with the use of till systems
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task

Desirable Attributes
- Experience of working in a hospitality / catering environment

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
