Role Overview

As a People Advisor, you will provide clear, professional People advice across the employee lifecycle. Managing employee relations matters, recruitment and supporting wellbeing and family-friendly practices. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers you will ensure that policies are applied consistently and in line with UK employment legislation to support a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising and coaching line managers in key People areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance and absence management, employee engagement, change and wellbeing, providing support as required.
  • Provide hands‑on management of ER cases, from initial advice through to resolution, including performance management, sickness absence, wellbeing, disciplinary and capability matters, maternity, and flexible working requests.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from requisition through to offer and onboarding.
  • Promote and embed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion principles across People policies, processes, and everyday people practices.
  • Support the design and delivery of the organisation's Learning & Development (L&D) strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Being a key decision maker and heading up meetings, giving sound direction and advice. Partnering with the Senior People Business Partner to embed People strategy in day-to-day operations.
  • Act as the link between Payroll - ensuring smooth process.
  • Use data, insights and emerging AI tools to drive informed decision-making and improve People processes and outcomes, partnering with the People Operations Executive to implement.
  • Manage wellbeing cases, including Occupational Health referrals.
  • Partner with the People Operations Executive to update People policies, templates and documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • Confident managing cases and influencing stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally and with confidence.
  • An inquisitive mindset with a keen interest in data, insights and emerging AI tools.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • CIPD level 3 minimum.
  • Build strong relationships with managers, acting as a trusted People Advisor.
  • Passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of service, with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Working Conditions:

  • A minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
  • Some travel between offices - Kent, London and Bristol.
