We are currently looking for a HIAB Driver to join Sovini Trade Supplies, part of The Sovini Group. Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of building material to Sovini Trade Supplies customers using a HIAB delivery wagon (Class 2).
  • Occasionally assisting with warehouse and yard duties as and when required, while always maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Expected to be flexible and multi-skilled.
  • A Class 2 licence, valid CPC licence and HIAB qualification are required for the role.
  • The role is primarily based in our Bootle branch, however you will occasionally be required to be located within our Speke depot to provide holiday or relief cover.
  • Commit to equality and diversity and promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts and omissions.

Qualifications

  • Valid HIAB licence.
  • Class 2 licence and valid CPC qualification.
  • Experience of driving Class 2 HIAB wagons and performing multidrop deliveries.
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm, commitment and drive, and ability to work under pressure while still producing a high standard of work.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face-to-Face and Email.

Advantageous but Not Essential

  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence.
  • Experience of working within a builder’s merchant environment.
