The Electrical Engineer responsibility is to perform and install electrical work with high quality, safety and efficiency. Lead minor electrical projects from design to commissioning, ensuring that the project objectives and specifications are met. Complete preventive maintenance work orders as required, following the established standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, safe and efficient electrical engineering work. This includes designing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the specifications and standards.
  • Follow the current regulations for electrical installation work. Ensure that all electrical wiring, fixtures and fittings are installed correctly, safely and legally, and that all relevant documentation and certification are completed and submitted.
  • Manage minor electrical projects from design to commissioning. This involves planning, coordinating and executing the project activities, as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Apply safe temporary repairs when production constraints apply, and arrange permanent repairs during non-production hours.
  • Keep tools in good working condition and use them appropriately. Ensure that all tools are cleaned, calibrated and stored properly after use, and that they are suitable for the intended use. Follow the safety procedures and wear the protective equipment when using the tools.
  • Document all components used from the stores and adhere to the proper procedures for requisition and return. Keep track of the inventory of electrical components and materials, request and return them as needed, and follow the established protocols for requisition and return.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Qualification at Level 3.
  • Experience in a FMCG environment.
  • Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly.
  • The ability to think quickly and logically to respond to an emergency.
  • Exceptional communication to work in partnership with others.

Rota shift:

1 week Mon-Fri 6am-2.30pm,
2 week Mon-Fri 2pm-10.30pm,
3 week Sun-Thur 10pm-6.30am
