We are currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer to join a globally recognised OEM in the advanced manufacturing and machine tool sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected, international brand with strong career progression and world-class technology on offer.
The Role
You’ll be joining the UK Sales Support team and playing a key part in supporting the sales and service teams with technical expertise across customer demonstrations, proposal planning, and post-sale applications support. This is a dynamic and varied role suited to someone with strong CNC machining experience and a passion for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering live machine demonstrations for customers and events
- Supporting the sales team with technical proposals and pre-sale applications advice
- Running NC control and CAM demonstrations (training provided if needed)
- Providing technical support to customers both in person and via phone
- Collaborating with suppliers on tooling, automation, and in-process technology
- Participating in UK and international trade shows
- Delivering customer training when required
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in CNC machining and programming
- Comfortable using CAD/CAM systems (any experience with SolidCAM, MasterCAM, or similar is a bonus)
- Confident communicator who can liaise with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
- Proactive, hands-on problem solver
- Engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND qualification is ideal, but not essential
- UK driving licence required (EV company car provided)
