We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join a long-established building services and refurbishment contractor operating across London and the South East. This position involves first and second fix carpentry within commercial refurbishment projects. A large proportion of the work will be carried out at various commercial sites across the South East, with additional projects located within and around the M25, including London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out first and second fix commercial carpentry, including doors, skirtings, partitions, and timber repairs
- Assisting other trades on larger projects and being flexible in daily responsibilities
- Managing workload independently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance
- Visiting multiple sites across the South East and London, completing both planned and reactive work
The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated, and flexible, with a practical, can-do attitude. You should be comfortable making on-site decisions and solving problems independently, while also working effectively as part of a team.
Due to client site requirements, security clearance will be required (UK residency for at least 2 years & clean criminal record).
Package:
- £35,000+ (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Company vehicle and fuel card

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Carpentry
- Proven experience in commercial carpentry (first and second fix)
- Ability to work independently and make on-site decisions
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential):
- CSCS card
- First Aid, PASMA, IPAF certifications
