We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Builder to join a long-established building services and maintenance contractor operating across London and the South East. This position involves carrying out general building repairs, maintenance, and small works within commercial environments. You'll work on a range of projects including commercial refurbishments, reactive maintenance, and small-scale improvements for private and public-sector clients. A large proportion of the work will be based in the South East, with additional jobs located within and around the M25, including London.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out general building repairs and maintenance across a range of sites
- Undertaking tasks such as fencing, gates, small brickwork repairs, tiling, plastering, and basic carpentry
- Completing small-scale refurbishments and reactive fixes such as loose slabs, decorating, and minor installations
- Assisting other trades on larger projects when required
- Managing your workload independently while maintaining quality and safety standards
You’ll have broad building experience across multiple trades and a practical, can-do approach. The ideal candidate will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with good time management and communication skills. Due to client site requirements, security clearance will be required (UK residency for at least 2 years & clean criminal record).
Package:
- £34,000 (dependent on experience and skills)
- Company vehicle and fuel card

Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in general building repairs and maintenance
- Strong practical knowledge across trades such as carpentry, tiling, plastering, or brickwork
- Ability to work independently and make on-site decisions
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential):
- CSCS card
- First Aid, PASMA, or IPAF certification
- Formal trade qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds)
- Knowledge of London and the South East area
