Location: Northern Ireland (Office-based, Hybrid Potential)

I\’m working with a well-established structural steelwork contractor based in Northern Ireland who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a permanent, full-time position ideally based in the office five days a week, though hybrid working can be considered for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the commercial aspects of steelwork projects from tender through to final account
• Preparing and submitting valuations and variations
• Cost control, cash flow forecasting, and commercial reporting
• Working closely with internal teams including estimating, contracts, and procurement
• Liaising with clients and subcontractors throughout project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Previous experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the structural steelwork sector
• Strong understanding of contracts and commercial processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable:

• Experience with estimating is advantageous
• The role would suit either a QS looking to step into a senior role or an estimator looking to transition into quantity surveying
