Motorhome Dealership - Rochdale area

Salary to £30,000 dependant on experience

Our client, an established motorhome dealership, is looking for a Motorhome Engineer. Applications for Trainee Motorhome Engineers will also be considered. With over 40 years' experience, operating from a modern, purpose-built sales site and workshops, including a dedicated motorhome preparation and service centre. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our workshop capacity and seeking skilled, practical individuals to join our team.

Role Overview

The main duties of the Motorhome Service Engineer role include:

  • Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used motorhomes
  • Internal and external checks of all motorhome systems
  • Habitation checks and water ingress inspections
  • Repairs and fault finding
  • Installation of additional equipment such as awnings, aerials, Wi-Fi systems, solar panels, bike racks, and other accessories

Skills & Experience

Applicants should have a practical background and take pride in high-quality workmanship. Relevant skills may include:

  • Joinery or general carpentry
  • 12v and 240v electrical systems
  • Leisure gas systems
  • Leisure water systems

Previous experience within a motorhome or caravan environment is beneficial but not essential. This role would suit a plumber, joiner, electrician, or similar tradesperson looking for a change of scenery or a new challenge.

Training & Development

We invest in our engineers and provide access to industry-recognised training, including electrical, gas, and manufacturer-led courses.

Additional Information

  • Full-time, permanent position following a successful 3-month probation period
  • No mechanical work required
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Salary up to £30,000 per annum, plus a discretionary end-of-year bonus
  • Working hours: 9:00am-5:00pm (one day per week until 6:00pm), 38.5 hours per week
  • Flexibility required during busy periods, including some weekend work
