Market Area General Manager - Surrey area Salary: £130k Basic (Depending on Experience) I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced and commercially driven Market Area General Manager to oversee the performance and development of multiple automotive dealership sites within a defined region. As Market Area General Manager, you will take ownership of the area's overall performance, inspiring and developing dealership leadership teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, strong financial results and sustainable growth. The opportunity You will provide strategic leadership across multiple dealership locations, ensuring consistency, operational excellence and commercial success throughout your market area. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing multiple dealership General Managers and their leadership teams to achieve business objectives. Driving regional sales performance, profitability and key performance indicators across all sites. Developing and implementing strategies to grow market share, increase revenue and improve operational efficiency. Coaching, mentoring and empowering site leaders to build high-performing teams and develop future talent. Embedding a customer-first culture and maintaining consistently high standards of customer service across the region. Analysing financial performance, including profit and loss, to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Ensuring effective resource allocation, operational consistency and compliance with company policies and procedures. Identifying innovative ways to improve processes, productivity and profitability across the market area. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring the effective use of resources across the region. What we're looking for To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: At least three years' experience in a senior automotive leadership role, ideally with multi-site responsibility. A proven track record of leading multiple dealerships or business locations and delivering measurable growth. Strong commercial acumen, with experience achieving sales targets, improving profitability and managing financial performance. The ability to lead, influence and develop General Managers and senior leadership teams. Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills. A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and driving consistent standards across multiple locations. A strategic, analytical and proactive approach to business improvement. Above all, you will be an inspirational leader who can translate business strategy into action, motivate teams across multiple sites and deliver outstanding results through others. What's on offer?
