What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the overall CDC operation, with accountability for customer orders.
  • Working in partnership with the transport team to ensure efficient inbound of supplier deliveries and outbound delivery customer orders.
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service is delivered by your team, in line with the DFS customer promise and operational excellence.
  • Ensuring customer expectations are met through efficient operations and people practices, including managing absence, holidays, banked days and overtime.
  • Leading your team by example and ensuring high standards are continually maintained.
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping compliance in the warehouse.
  • Leading the recruitment of warehouse colleagues, conducting interviews and proactively providing feedback within SLAs.
  • Giving all new starters in the warehouse team a great induction using the standard operative induction guides.
  • Reviewing your team's performance, providing regular feedback to ensure their performance is as expected.
