What you'll be doing:
- Operating HGV/Class 1 runs from our Nottingham Site.
- Completing all deliveries into customers' homes in a safe and professional manner.
- Communicating effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you're on your way to their address.
- Ensuring furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that we do not leave them with any rubbish to dispose of.
- Representing The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
- Working with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.
- Carrying out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
- Complying with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.
The role is for you if:
- You hold a HGV / Class 1 License, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).
- You're great with people and enjoy helping customers.
- You've got strong time management skills and thrive on variety.
- You're comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
- You take pride in your work and value safety of yourself and those around you.
- You're ready to work as part of a supportive two-person team.
