Ready to kickstart your driving career? Join us as a Trainee Driver at The Sofa Delivery Company, where you'll embark on our in-house Driving School programme! During your first 12 weeks, you’ll drive a 3.5-ton van as we prepare you to upgrade to your 7.5-ton driving licence. Don’t worry if you’re new to driving a 7.5-ton vehicle - we’ll guide you through the entire process. From covering the costs of your training and medical assessments to offering time off for your Theory & Hazard tests and Driver Training, we’ve got you covered. Once you’ve completed your training and passed the necessary tests, you'll be promoted to a 7.5T Driver role, with a pay increase to match! It’s a win-win, and we’ll have you delivering with confidence in no time! With our 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, 7am - 7pm, you’ll have plenty of time to relax, recharge, and enjoy life outside of work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering furniture safely and professionally to customers’ homes.
  • Keeping customers in the loop with pre-delivery communication, so they know exactly when to expect you.
  • Ensuring that furniture is delivered to the room of choice and leaving no rubbish behind.
  • Working alongside your team and senior managers to provide feedback and improve service standards.
  • Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
  • Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

  • A valid UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
