Position: Trainee Driver
Ready to kickstart your driving career?
Join us as a Trainee Driver and embark on our in‑house Driving School programme.
During the first twelve weeks you’ll drive a 3.5‑ton van while we prepare you to upgrade to a 7.5‑ton licence.
We cover the costs of training and medical assessments, and provide time off for theory, hazard, and driver training.
Once you’ve completed training and passed the necessary tests, you’ll be promoted to a 7.5T Driver role with a matching pay increase.
Work on a 4‑on, 4‑off shift pattern from 7 am to 7 pm, giving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy life outside of work.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering furniture safely and professionally to customers’ homes.
- Keeping customers informed with pre‑delivery communication so they know when to expect you.
- Ensuring furniture is delivered to the room of choice and leaving no rubbish behind.
- Working alongside team members and senior managers to provide feedback and improve service standards.
- Representing The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything you do.
- Complying with all driving laws, government regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence with six points or fewer.
- At least two years of driving experience, with no drink or drug driving convictions.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
