Shift Pattern: 44‑hour week with a 2‑week rota:

  • Week 1: Mon–Sat (48 hrs)
  • Week 2: Tues–Fri (40 hrs)

You’ll have plenty of time to relax, recharge, and enjoy life outside of work.

Role Overview: As a Driver, you’ll be delighting customers at the final stage of their journey with us – creating that all-important lasting impression. From bustling city high‑rises to cosy countryside homes, no two days are the same. Whether it’s a recliner or a footstool, you’ll deliver it all with a smile and share a laugh with your teammates along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you’re on your way to their address.
  • Ensure furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that we do not leave them with any rubbish to dispose of.
  • Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
  • Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.
  • Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects or missing items immediately.
  • Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • You hold a 7.5T Licence, Digi‑Tacho, CPC Card and a valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).
  • You’re great with people and enjoy helping customers.
  • You’ve got strong time‑management skills and thrive on variety.
  • You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
  • You take pride in your work and value safety – of yourself and those around you.
  • You’re ready to work as part of a supportive two‑person team.
