Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching across a range of undergraduate modules in Sport and Exercise Therapy.

Essential Requirements

  • A master’s degree (MSc) in Sport and Exercise Therapy or a closely related discipline (e.g. Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation, Sports Physiotherapy, Strength and Conditioning) or willingness to work towards.
  • A recognised membership within the field of Sports Therapy (e.g. Society of Sports Therapists, British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers, The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy).
  • Demonstrable experience in an applied sports industry setting (e.g. professional clubs or clinical settings).
  • A passion for education and the ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continued professional development and a passion for education.

Desirable

  • A recognised teaching qualification e.g. PGCE or equivalent (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Experience of teaching in higher education and designing/assessing academic content.
  • An active interest in research or industry engagement within the field of sport and exercise therapy.
