LIBRARY ASSISTANT

Salary £23,295 to £25,800 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our small team at CLFS. We have three lovely libraries on site, a Junior Library serving Years 3-6, a Senior Library for Years 7-11 and a Sixth Form Library. The Junior and Senior libraries are lively spaces at the heart of the School, in constant use for research and reading by all age groups and subject departments. The Sixth Form Library is intended for quiet study and reading.

Our new Library Assistant will enjoy working with children and have excellent customer services skills. Confidence in using a variety of ICT packages, experience of working in a library and a passion for reading are required. We are looking for someone with a sense of humour who will be flexible, creative and imaginative as we are constantly looking to improve our library services. Experience of working in an academic environment is desirable but not essential.

Normal working hours are 35 hours per week over 5 days, term time plus 10 additional days. The Libraries are open between 8.00am and 6.00pm so a shift pattern is in operation.

Salary for the role is £23,295 to £25,800 per annum inclusive of Outer London Weighting.
