As our Marketing Manager at The Social Shepherd, you’ll own the internal marketing strategy that focuses on driving inbound leads and increased visibility for the agency. You will act as the independent driver of our marketing efforts, partnering closely with our Chief Commercial Officer to execute campaigns that win new business and elevate our industry authority. You’ll be a highly proficient, proactive, growth-focused marketer who drives demand for our agency.
You can pivot from scripting high-converting paid ads to mapping out a podcast episode and thought leadership strategy. While you’ll work autonomously to drive projects forward, you’ll also coordinate our internal social, creative and paid teams to activate on TSS socials and our paid media strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Plan and support production for our internal podcasts, overseeing the content pipeline, episode strategy, and shoot preparation to build our industry thought leadership.
- Own the weekly newsletter end-to-end, crafting engaging, value-packed copy that nurtures our database, updates the industry, and drives inbound inquiries.
- Drive personal branding for the leadership team, collaborating with our founders and directors to ghostwrite and concept authentic, high-impact content for their personal channels.
- Script high-performing ad creatives to help us scale our own internal paid advertising efforts across Meta and LinkedIn, ensuring our messaging hooks the right B2B audience.
- Coordinate and guide internal teams (our in-house designers, videographers, paid media managers, and social specialists) who will build and produce content for the core TSS social channels, acting as the internal client.
- Partner directly with the Chief Commercial Officer to align marketing strategy with broader business growth objectives, working independently to hit deadlines and keep the momentum moving.
- Track and report on marketing performance, ensuring our own content and paid channels are effectively generating awareness, engagement, and high-quality leads.
- Support in other growth marketing initiatives: events, award entries and PR opportunities.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a B2B marketing or growth role.
- Someone who enjoys being scrappy when it needs it, but also organized and highly communicative.
- Ambitious individual who is obsessed with personal growth and development and sees their future as a Head of Marketing/Marketing Director.
- A highly proficient, autonomous operator. You don’t need hand-holding. You are confident in taking a high-level strategy from the CCO and independently breaking it down into actionable, executed tasks.
- An exceptional copywriter and storyteller. You know how to write a thumb-stopping LinkedIn hook, a compelling email newsletter, and a persuasive video script that converts.
- A strong project manager and collaborator. You have the communication skills and confidence to brief, guide, and collaborate with internal creative teams to get assets delivered on time.
- Can work at speed and move between different priorities in an agile way.
- A high attention to detail, ensuring we represent our brand in the best way possible.
- A deep understanding of the type of content that resonates with our ICP (senior marketers), how B2B buyers consume content, what makes a podcast successful, and how personal branding drives business growth.
- High levels of ambition and drive, with a genuine pride in marketing an agency that is widely recognised for doing best-in-class work.
