The Pig & Palm is a restaurant brand in the Philippines from Michelin-starred British chef Jason Atherton and his wife Irha Atherton. The first restaurant is located in Irhas hometown of Cebu. Following from the success of its predecessor, the acclaimed Restauranteurs are now making way for their second major opening in the popular and exclusive Green Belt multiple shopping and leisure complex, situated in a 2.8 hectare urban park in Ayala Centre, Manila. The restaurant offers a modern European sharing style and tapas menu and an adjoining bar which serves a classic and curated cocktail list.

About you:
We are recruiting for a highly talented and experienced chef who has modern European kitchen experience. As the Head Chef, you will have excellent culinary skills derived from working in renown fine dining restaurants and established casual chains. You cook from the heart and execute every dish to perfection. Furthermore, you will ensure the team are well trained, motivated and consistently work to the Company standards. Your role will ensure that the kitchen consistently delivers in every aspect from menu development, ordering and produce, food safety and hygiene and ensuring high level of cleanliness with the kitchen.
You will work under the leadership of the Executive Chef and Chef Jason Atherton.
This role would suit individuals who are in search of an international opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and create innovative and delicious dishes including tapas, ensuring they complement the overall dining experience
Be responsible for the kitchen brigade and their training and development
Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times
Stock control and management awareness
Contribute to the development of new dishes and menu concepts
Adhere to all food safety and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years proven experience in your capacity within an international restaurant brand
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Commitment to delivering exceptional quality
Proficiency in culinary arts, food production, and kitchen management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Start Date: 1 November 2026 in London, must be available to travel to the Philippines in early December 2026.
Must have the Rights to work and live in the UK without restrictions as we do not provide sponsorships in the UK.
