Job Description

We are recruiting for a Mechanical and Electrical Multiskilled Operative for our client based in Hixon.

Role

You will be part of the busy maintenance team to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair duties in a heavy industrial environment. Taking instruction from Site Electrical Engineer and Maintenance Manager, you will be required to undertake planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities.

Primary Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities

  1. Reactive and PPM work
  2. Electrical and mechanical maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, crushers, furnaces and more
  3. Basic fault find and repair of motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays etc
  4. Changing bearings, housing and motors
  5. Single-phase, three-phase and 24 VDC electrical fault find and repair
  6. Welding and fabricating when required
  7. Distribution boards, panels wiring, repair etc
  8. Predominantly sockets, lighting, armoured cable repair
  9. Assist in new installations
  10. If required, support the wider maintenance team on tasks within your capability.
  11. Ensure adherence to/compliance with company policies, rules and regulations relating to safety/health, performance standards, procedures, processes and training requirements.

Qualifications & Training

  1. Recognised engineering, mechanical or electrical qualification

Skills / Experience

  1. Demonstrable fault-finding experience
  2. Previous experience in maintaining production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Time-served/experienced within a manufacturing (medium to heavy) or process driven environment.

Hours Of Work

Mixture of days and nights rotating – 4 on 3 off.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: One location

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
