Are you passionate about helping the next generation of engineers develop their practical skills? Lancaster and Morecambe College are seeking an instructor and maintenance technician with significant industrial experience in Engineering machinery to join our Construction and Engineering department, working alongside tutors in our state-of-the-art Construction Centre.
Your responsibilities will include:
- The ordering and maintenance of machinery;
- Instruction of practical sessions to small groups of learners, focusing on practical skills and development;
- Ensuring a healthy and safe environment.
You should hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Engineering, with hands-on experience in machining and maintaining engineering equipment. We will support you over time to achieve an in-house teaching qualification. This role is perfect for an experienced machinist looking to share their expertise, support learners, and take the first step into a rewarding teaching career.
