LOCATION: Buckminster, Near Grantham

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive, but negotiable

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per week – Monday to Friday

THE COMPANY: Buckminster Farms is a modern family-owned business located on the Lincolnshire/Leicestershire border farming approximately 8,000 acres. The farm office is based in Buckminster village, near Grantham.

The Role: The successful candidate for the Farm Accounts Manager will be fully responsible for operating farmplan accounts, payrolls and managing the office. This is a varied and interesting position.

  • Processing and paying invoices
  • Submitting monthly VAT return
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly cash management reports
  • Preparing and running payrolls
  • Organising the recruitment of Harvest staff during the summer
  • Providing support to the Farm Manager
  • Many other varied duties appropriate to the post

The Candidate: The ideal candidate for the role of Farm Accounts Manager will have experience in accounts and bookkeeping and be an enthusiastic, organised and conscientious person. Experience in PAYE and accounting software would be advantageous.

  • Must have experience in basic bookkeeping
  • Ideally have experience with Farmplan Accounts Software or a similar product
  • Experience in the use of Excel spreadsheets essential
  • Be a highly organised person with attention to detail
  • Comfortable working on own initiative and as part of a team
  • A confident communicator
  • Enjoy working in a busy friendly environment
  • Live within a reasonable commutable distance of Buckminster, near Grantham
