Job Scope
The Event Operations Manager is responsible for the seamless delivery of all events across the Club, ensuring every member and guest experience reflects the standards and character of The Sloane Club.
This role brings together planning and hands‑on delivery, working closely with the Events, F&B, and wider operational teams to create well‑executed, memorable occasions.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Delivery
- Oversee the end-to-end operational delivery of all events, from private dining to larger club functions
- Act as the key point of contact on the day, ensuring events run smoothly and discreetly
- Maintain a visible presence during events, supporting teams and engaging with members and guests
- Planning & Coordination
- Work closely with the Events team to interpret briefs and translate them into clear operational plans
- Conduct function sheet briefings with all relevant departments
- Ensure all event details are communicated effectively and executed to plan
- Leadership
- Lead and support the floor teams during events, ensuring clarity, confidence, and consistency
- Responsible for training and development of the F&B team, particularly around event service standards
- Foster a collaborative, one-team approach across departments
- Standards & Experience
- Uphold the Club’s service standards, ensuring a polished but natural style of delivery
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve any issues calmly and efficiently
- Continuously look for ways to enhance the member experience
- Operational Management
- Work with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Monitor staffing levels and support rota planning for events
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing requirements

Health Safety & Security
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Food safety, Health, Hygiene and Fire Safety.
- Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner, and appropriate follow up if required
