With 5 AA Gold Stars for Guest Accommodation and 2 AA rosettes, the inn provides a relaxed yet professional environment for both guests and staff. Compensation
We provide a monthly service charge average of £260 (approximately £3,200 per year) above base pay, which is shared 100% among the team. Base pay is competitive, and you will also receive tips and other benefits.
About the Role
As a Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to run a busy kitchen and create exciting, delicious dishes for guests. This role is suited to someone who has worked in a similar environment previously.
Responsibilities
- Apply expert knife skills and cook with the finest of ingredients.
- Stay current with allergen training and ensure compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
- Properly label all food to prevent out‑of‑date items.
- Share your knowledge with Junior Sous, CDPs, KPs, and Commis.
- Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Co‑author the allergen matrix with the Head Chef.
- Oversee ordering via Procure Wizard to prevent stock shortages.
Qualifications
This role requires prior experience in a kitchen environment similar to ours.
