Sirius Planning is seeking professional Planners to join our team for a hybrid role, based out of our Leeds office/home.
As a Chartered Planner within Sirius Planning, which is part of the Sirius Group (an employee owned company), you will be part of a busy planning team, handling a varied range of planning applications for both strategic and immediate projects.
Projects will be varied including energy infrastructure (solar, battery, wind, hydrogen), waste management, mineral and commercial schemes.
The roles offer a broad range of responsibility for all aspects of the development process including planning policy and appraisal work, land promotion, provision of planning consultancy services, along with detailed development management and project delivery.
You will be required to co-ordinate, and prepare planning applications and environmental impact assessments, develop relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders and local communities.
You will also be required to manage sub-consultants, undertake site appraisals, and provide strategic and tactical planning advice to clients at senior levels. You will be working closely with our other Chartered Planners and Landscape Architects, and help manage and deliver new projects as part of our planned growth.
The successful applicant will ideally be RTPI qualified (other experience levels will be considered) with a Degree / Masters planning qualification, a robust knowledge of the planning system, and experience gained preferably in the energy, waste, minerals, commercial and residential sectors would be of benefit.
