Sirius Planning (part of The Sirius Group) is looking for a CAD Technician to join our busy Planning and Landscape team.

Based in Leeds with flexible hybrid or fully remote working, you’ll work with our senior Design Engineer alongside Town Planners and Landscape Architects to deliver a wide variety of projects across the UK – including solar, battery, wind, hydrogen energy, minerals, waste management and commercial developments.

  • ★ What you’ll do
  • Produce high-quality CAD outputs: planning drawings, landscape and visual assessment mapping figures, GA drawings, schematics, elevations, photography presentation, and as-built drawings, plus the option to and assist with photography and surveying where required.
  • Support the design and development of projects through all stages.
  • Collaborate with our town planners, landscape architects, clients, and third parties.
  • Contribute to the graphics / mapping in support of landscape and visual assessments.

  • Proficiency in Auto CAD (or equivalent CAD software).
  • An understanding of the built environment and design principles.
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach to teamwork and independent working.
  • A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, CAD, Engineering (or similar) is preferred
  • Bonus skills (not essential, training provided): GIS, land surveying, photography.
