We are looking for a Transport Supervisor to oversee our afternoon and evening transport operations. You will play a key role in ensuring drivers, vehicles and schedules return safely and are ready for the next day's work. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Driver & Vehicle Support: Oversee driver debriefs and ensure returning vehicles meet hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Safety, Compliance & Fleet Management: Manage vehicle checks, defects and repairs, ensuring full compliance with transport and safety regulations.
- Operational Support & Driver Rescue: Respond to unplanned issues, providing timely support to drivers and resolving route or schedule challenges.
- Next-Day Planning: Prepare and adjust next-day schedules, ensuring smooth handover to the planning and night teams.
- HGV Category C Licence (Essential)
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience working with drivers and/or customers (face-to-face or over the phone)
- Understanding of driving regulations
- Strong IT literacy
- Confident problem solver, remaining calm under pressure
