We are looking for a highly professional Spa Receptionist to join our Spa team at The Alfriston located in East Sussex, which dates back to the 16th century and is the fourth property in the growing Signet Collection. The newly refurbished Hotel has 41 beautifully redesigned bedrooms and suites, a stunning function room, The 1554 Brasserie, offering views over the front lawn towards the sea and revamped herb and vegetable plots across the hotel gardens. The hotel bar offers more casual dining for guests both in and outdoors, while the Orangery serves breakfast and afternoon tea with views over the rear gardens and the Signet spa includes a steam room, sauna, outdoor swimming pool and three treatment rooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional guest welcome, greeting all visitors warmly and managing all enquiries across phone, email, and in person with professionalism and care.
  • Manage bookings and daily operations, including scheduling treatments, classes, and handling billing and payments through PremierCore.
  • Maintain a professional and inviting spa environment by keeping reception and spa areas clean, tidy, well‑stocked, and supporting general cleaning, towel and linen management.
  • Uphold spa standards and safety procedures through regular pool and health & safety checks, adhering to all hygiene and legal requirements, and completing opening/closing procedures.
  • Support the wider spa team by continually developing treatment, product, and hotel knowledge; attending required training and meetings; and assisting in all spa areas as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
