We are looking for a dedicated Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our Restaurant and Bar team at The Mitre Hotel which we have transformed into glamorous restaurants, cocktail bars, enchanting river terraces, an orangery, a quirky library and elegantly styled bedrooms. As part of the Restaurant & Bar team, you will be the first face our guests see when they enter the restaurant, so a passion for people is essential for this role. In partnership with the management team, you will ensure our Guest Journey is delivered consistently, as defined by our service standards.

You will:

  • Be passionate about delivering a warm and friendly service to all of our guests.
  • Be comfortable picking up new technology, with a particular focus on EPOS, or our reservations software ResDiary.
  • Develop your knowledge of our menus and services, so you can advise guests.
  • Stay up to date on all relevant legislation which applies to your role, including Hygiene, and wider Health and Safety concerns.
  • Attend and regularly engage with any defined training and development for your role.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with our guests, and all team members too.
  • Ensure all guests are greeted and seated appropriately upon arrival into our F&B outlets.
