We are looking for a fabulous Night Porter / Late Receptionist to join our Front Desk team at The Mitre, Hampton Court. Our 40‑bedroom hotel has been transformed into glamorous restaurants, cocktail bars, enchanting river terraces, an orangery, an all‑day café, and even a quirky library for the most curious. Nestled on the banks of the Thames beside Hampton Court Palace, The Mitre offers riverside elegance just 40 minutes from Central London.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide limited food and drinks service to resident guests after hours.
  • Check in any late arrivals and keep all Front of House areas clean and tidy.
  • Ensure the hotel is locked up and all is safe and secure.
  • Some minor admin/clerical duties including evening report daily.
  • Be the responsible Person and enforce fire safety procedures.
  • Liaise with emergency services where necessary.
  • Set up breakfast for the hotel guests.
  • Maintain a professional and high‑quality service environment at all times.
  • Act as manager on duty for the hotel in absence of other senior managers, deal with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues.
  • Show initiative and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Assist the day teams with preparation required for a successful operation.
  • Monitoring and maintaining safety compliance standards to adhere to current legislation.
