We are looking for a highly professional Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen team for the very exciting opening of The Alfriston located in East Sussex, which dates back to the 14th century and is the fourth property in the growing Signet Collection. The newly refurbished Hotel has 38 beautifully redesigned bedrooms and suites, a stunning function room, The 1554 Brasserie, offering views over the front lawn towards the sea and revamped herb and vegetable plots across the hotel gardens. The hotel bar offers more casual dining for guests both in and outdoors, while the Orangery serves breakfast and afternoon tea with views over the rear gardens and the Signet spa includes a steam room, sauna, outdoor swimming pool and three treatment rooms.

Responsibilities:

- Undertake all duties as directed by the Senior Kitchen/Chef on duty to ensure the cleanliness and correct storage of the Kitchen and its equipment.
- Ensure you adhere to, and follow precisely, weekly and monthly cleaning duties’ lists as directed by Senior Kitchen/Chef on duty.
- Ensure that all company rules and regulations relating to Hygiene, Health and Safety are being strictly adhered to and recorded correctly.
- Understand HACCP before using any chemicals or cleaning substances.
- Assist with deliveries into the Kitchen, storing items as necessary.
- Dispose of waste in accordance with procedure, ensuring bin areas and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure floors are cleaned at appropriate intervals during the day.
- To ensure waste disposal area is cleaned as scheduled and according to company policy.
- Be a team player and have experience in a similar role.
