The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice, and school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Working with individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff
  • Implementing planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate
  • Establishing positive relationships with pupils
  • Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
  • Supporting the use of ICT in the classroom and developing pupils' competence and independence in its use
  • Promoting positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and helping to keep pupils on task

Qualifications & Experience

  • Successful experience working with children in a school/early years environment
  • Successful experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid and an understanding of the school environment
  • NVQ Level 2 in Learning Support/Early Years, NNEB or equivalent qualification/experience would be an advantage
