Immediate Start (1 or 2 weeks notice)
We need a DevOps Engineer to replace a manually built Microsoft Fabric SHIR setup with a fully automated, re-deployable, well-tagged infrastructure across mainly AWS (Azure experience helpful). The outcome is a stable, secure, IaC-driven environment handed over to ISS DevOps for BAU.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Terraform delivery - writing and maintaining real AWS infrastructure (not just exposure).
- Strong AWS networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT, security groups, static egress IPs).
- Experience codifying existing infrastructure patterns safely (not redesigning platforms).
- Senior judgement and autonomy suitable for a 1-2 month engagement with minimal supervision.
Must-Have Experience:
- Strong DevOps background across AWS and Azure.
- Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code – non-negotiable.
- Hands-on with Windows EC2 (build, automation, hardening).
- Secure cloud networking & connectivity (VPCs, subnets, IP allow-listing, peering, IAM).
- CI/CD for infra (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Security identity: Azure AD/Entra, AWS IAM, Key Vault, Secrets Manager.
- Used to working autonomously and collaborating with Infra / DevOps / Data teams.
